08 Sep Fall Ready Trends – Python Prints with cabi and a New Collaboration
I was introduced to cabi clothing this year after a friend of mine invited me to a Fashion Experience (or trunk show). I was very impressed with the collection – great basics, on trend items, pretty patterns and great colours. I picked up a few items (I wanted more) and wore them constantly – especially my Wallis Cardigan. Bright green was perfect for spring and early summer.
When cabi asked me to join their team of ambassadors I immediately said yes. I started by selecting my favourite pieces and my mind was swirling with style ideas. With all the items I selected I’ll be posting all week with ideas and showcasing the Fall Collection. To check out the entire Fall Collection you can click here.
Python for the Win!
I decided to start my cabi Ambassadorship with python prints. In the photos I’m wearing the Python Blazer, Serpentine Blouse and the
Cinch Skinny jeans. I decided to double down on the python print and paired the blazer with the blouse. The patterns compliment each other and play with this popular animal print. Plus it’s a fun way to do the unexpected – wearing animal print twice.
The black button detail doesn’t take away from the pattern. This blazer has stretch so don’t worry about it being too tight. That also means it’s light weight and you can wear a cami or a thin knit underneath. I am wearing a size 6 in the blazer and small in the blouse. In the future I will size up in the blouse to a medium. You can’t tell but I am busty and the blouse is a bit snug across my chest and back in a small.
The Cinch Jeans are high waisted and sit on my natural waist. They are a perfect ankle length on my six foot frame. I don’t need to get them altered in any way and am wearing a size 8. I may try a size 6 in denim next time because these jeans have a lot of stretch. They are a great black wash and can be easily dressed up or down.
Stay tuned for more. Until then check out the entire cabi collection here and for great style ideas here.
